They show a Grand Maharaja tent 27’ x 44’ with honey glow mango flower print, matching walls and crystal chandeliers, with hot pink drapes and Raj Tents low furniture for a long table. As we all know, the guest count is the most critical factor in managing your wedding costs.  Our friends at Raj Tents shared this very nice and cozy way to celebrate a more intimate wedding. Get Green at The Wedding Party Bridal Show

We are getting ready for the first ever "Green" Wedding Party  Bridal Show. March 8th at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.  If you haven't checked out Pamela's show before now is the time!  It promises to be better than ever and The Bridal Bar will be partying on the patio with lots of fun to share.

 We'll have a "show within a show" featuring video Save the Dates with our friends at Legacy Videos  sliders, martinis, and dessert with The French Gourmet, the fabulous photography of Tim Otto Photography, fun party pics with LA Photo Party, Encore Bridal's amazing gowns, new designs by Lounge Appeal, and the stylings of Botanica throughout our space.  We hope to see you there!

The Bridal Bar goes Mainly Mozart!

The Bridal Bar San Diego A few weeks ago several of our Bridal Bar members were Featured Designers at Mainly Mozart's annual Gala.  This year's theme was Mozart, Music & Love.  This annual event celebrates the life of Mozart and raises money for the annual festival and other outreach programs.  The tabletops were unbelievably beautiful and we wanted to share them with you!

Sweetheart Breakfast in Bed

Just got this fantastic idea for a romantic Valentine's Breakfast from our friend Giuseppe at Giuseppe's Restaurants & Fine Catering.  

Along with a great menu for a kickoff Valentine's Day Breakfast, Giuseppe provided his "Rules" for success:

#1 Send the kids to Grandma's for a sleepover.

#2 One of you ( whoever reads this email first) has to be the cook for the day.

#3 Keep this as a surprise.

#4 What happens at home stays at home ( if you know what I mean!)

Tasting Stations

Interactive food stations are a hot new trend that will not only delight your guests but offers a tasting menu as well.   Stations also gives your guests something to DO at your wedding and encourages mingling as well.

Whether your wedding is a small intimate celebration or a huge bash with lots of guests, tasting stations offer a little something extra for your reception that will make it memorable. Try these great ideas:

Asian Cuisine-A dim sum or sushi station.Or include a variety of rice and noodle dishes.

Pasta Bar--A variety of pastas, both cold and hot with a choice of add-ins and sauces.

Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese Station--offer a traditional mac-n-cheese along with the more haute mac: lobster macaroni and cheese, or 5-cheese macaroni and cheese. 

Seafood Bar--Offer a range of seafood including shrimp, sushi, oysters, Crab, etc.  For something special, have a "shucker" onsite to keep the oysters super fresh and give a bit of the New Orleans experience.

We've got so many cool things happening at the Bridal Bar that we are introducing a little structure to our blog.  Starting this week we will focus on cool trends in photography on Mondays every week. 

 

This week we focus on Theorie, art that thinks.  Amy and Maurice are two of the most creative people you will ever meet. Not only is their photography captivating, colorful, cheerful and quirky, they are always adding a new spin to their creative presentation that keeps the competition hopping!

Their latest idea incorporates your engagement photos into a customized guestbook which knocked our socks off.  We don't want to give away all of their secrets but their studio is amazing and definitely worth a visit!  Plus you'll get all kinds of great ideas to create wedding art that you will cherish for a lifetime.
